During this degree, I gained a deeper understanding of humans and their functioning through my psychology major, and this has shaped the way I go through life and see the world now. I also learned a lot about internal processes, procedures and principles needed to run a successful, legally complaint company. Although Industrial Psychology was not as is not my passion, I appreciate the valuable insight and growth it allowed.

During this year, we worked with real clients and briefs that allowed a real time feel of what it would be like to work in the marketing industry. We worked with clients like ClemenGold, PALS, Metropolitan and Wordfees. Teamwork was a prominent part of this year, and it helped me gain experience with collaboration; different personalities and work ethics and being able to work together to achieve a common goal. Our big thesis-like project for this year included creating a comprehensive marketing plan for a small business of our choice. 

Good team work, time management, public speaking, creativity, organisation and taking iniative were crucial to success in this course. At the end of the course, I obtained four distinctions and walked away with a new-found appreciation for marketing. I was intrigued by all the different fields within marketing and the fact that creativity played a big role in a lot of them was appealing to me. After this course, I felt inspired and sure that I would want to work in the marketing field.
